Fans aren’t the only ones annoyed with Demaryius Thomas. According to Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole, the team is becoming increasingly “frustrated” with their No. 1 wide receiver.

While he may lead the NFL in receiving touchdowns since 2012, the mistakes, the dropped passes and the lack of effort are becoming hard to overlook, with the latest example coming in the fourth quarter against the Texans last night.
DT saw his numbers take a significant drop last season from the year before, and the trend seems to be continuing into this year. As of now, Thomas is on pace for just 84 receptions and 1,042 yards. Given that he hasn’t hauled in less than 92 balls for 1,300 yards in four seasons, that would be an extreme disappointment, even if he inches up towards double-digit touchdowns.
The concerns are heightened when you consider the five-year, $70 million contract he signed just last offseason. That’s top-five wide receiver money, and right now, you can make the case that he’s not even the most important wideout on the Denver Broncos offense.
There’s no denying that DT is one of the most talented wideouts in the NFL, but if he can’t cut out the drops, the frustrations are only going to grow.
