The Denver Broncos will hire Ronald Curry as their new wide receivers coach per Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports.

Denver’s former receivers coach Keary Colbert was fired three weeks ago, but he landed on his feet with the Baltimore Ravens.

Sean Payton’s coaching staff has been in constant flux and it’s nearing complete for 2026.

Denver Broncos to hire Ronald Curry as wide receivers coach

Ronald Curry is expected to be hired by the Broncos per a report from CBS Sports:

Curry, like his predecessor Colbert, is a former NFL receiver. Curry played from 2002-2008 with the Oakland Raiders, racking up 2,347 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Since then, he’s bounced all around the NFL in various positions. Including spending time in New Orleans with Payton.

In 2014-2015 he was an offensive assistant with the San Francisco 49ers. Then, he went to New Orleans from 2016-2023. Curry was first an offensive assistant, moved up to wide receivers coach, and was eventually the quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator.

The last two years, Curry was the quarterbacks coach with the Buffalo Bills. That means he got to work closely with arguably the best QB in the game in Josh Allen. He also worked as a teammate of then-Offensive Coordinator Joe Brady, who Payton wanted as the Broncos new OC, but Brady was promoted to the Bills head coach position.

Less than a week ago, the Broncos signed Doug Belk as DBs coach.

And in early February, Payton promoted passing game coordinator and QBs coach Davis Webb to offensive coordinator.

The fact that many of Payton’s coaches interviewed for promotions and even head coaching positions is a good reflection of his staff.
