In four games at summer league, Akoon-Purcell averaged 12 points per game and shot an efficient 43 percent from the field. Akoon-Purcell went undrafted in 2016 out of Eastern Oklahoma State and spent the last two seasons with the Bakken Bears of the Danish league.
Dempsey also notes the Nuggets will add Emmanuel Terry to the team’s training camp roster. Terry played with Denver at summer league, where he averaged 7.4 points in the five games he played.
The addition of Akoon-Purcell and Terry puts the Nuggets’ roster at 18 heading into training camp.
