According to Mile High Sports Radio’s own, Benjamin Allbright, the Denver Broncos have made shown interest in acquiring Tyrod Taylor away from the Buffalo Bills.

Taylor orchestrated one of the better quarterbacking seasons from a Buffalo Bills quarterback in a long time, completing 63.7 percent of his passes for 3,035 yards, 20 touchdowns and just six interceptions. That, from Taylor’s perspective, should be enough to earn him a contract extension and, more importantly, raise.

Heading into the second year of a three-year deal, Taylor is only expected to make $2 million in base salary this season, according to Spotrac. For a starting quarterback, that’s basically stealing, and Taylor’s camp would be more than happy to tell you that.

The Bills, though, have been slow to the draw, and they’ve shown know real urgency to get a deal done. This has led Taylor and his agent to get a little nervous, taking the negotiations public on several occasions.

Just today, Taylor’s agent, Adisa Bakari, said that the rest of the Bills team let Taylor down on the road to the playoffs in 2016.

As we detailed earlier in the offseason, Taylor could be a fantastic fit with the Denver Broncos. In fact, if it were up to John Elway and Gary Kubiak, he’d already be a Denver Bronco; they offered him more money to come to the Mile High last offseason than the Bills, but Taylor chose Buffalo for the starting opportunity.

If he is available, even in the slightest, Taylor could be the best option the Broncos have at quarterback. While they’d be hoping Colin Kaepernick could regain his old form, they’d know Taylor never lost it — actually, he may be getting better.
