Each in-house move the Colorado Rockies made this year seemed to backfire. Staying put with a young rotation, avoiding role changes in the bullpen and moving a struggling player from one defensive position to another are all moves that fell flat.
For next year, three big in-house changes are needed – at the very least – for the club to get back to their postseason ways. Several out-of-house changes will be needed as well.
For the latest episode of the 20th and Blake Podcast, Luke Zahlmann breaks down each of the changes. Topics include Ian Desmond’s undeserved spot in the batting order, Daniel Murphy’s defense and Kyle Freeland’s biggest problem this year.
The episode also includes a breakdown of what Jeff Hoffman’s latest success means for the future of the Rockies’ rotation.
