Broncos’ linebacker Shane Ray has suffered.
Suffered through three wrist surgeries last year; suffered through the ignominy of having his fifth-year contract option declined, and suffered watching the Broncos try to replace him with first-round draft choice Bradley Chubb.
Ray’s struggles aren’t over yet. He’ll have to have yet another surgery on the wrist, Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic reported on Wednesday.
Shane Ray is expected to undergo a clean-up procedure related to complications from the initial surgery on his left wrist. A team source characterized it as "better news than expected." He did not reinjure the wrist, but it will keep him out a while.

This fourth surgery is considered minor in comparison to the others Ray went through previously, but it’s yet another setback for the former first-round pick and the team’s second-active sack leader.
Ray is due to become an unrestricted free agent after the 2018 season.
