Athletes love to compete. Professional athletes love to compete for keeps.
On Thursday, after the Broncos’ morning practice, Shane Ray and DeMarcus Ware bet $10,000 on who was the faster outside linebacker.

It was a photo finish.

You can watch the full video on Emmanuel Sanders’ snapchat (esanders88), but the evidence is indisputable.

What’s most impressive, though, is that Ware, who’s 34 years old and dealing with a long-term back injury, nearly beat the 23-year-old Ray. It just goes to show you how freakish of an athlete DeMarcus Ware truly is.
It also gives Broncos Country confidence that when he gets out on the field this season, he’ll do damage to opposing quarterbacks.
