It took until December 8th, but the Denver Nuggets finally suffered their first home loss of the season.
In this episode of the Pickaxe and Roll podcast, Ryan Blackburn discusses the Denver Nuggets comeback attempt on Friday night, though ultimately losing to the Houston Rockets. Nikola Jokic struggled with his shooting, and Jamal Murray was ejected late in the game. Peyton Watson brought energy, and Michael Porter Jr. continues to impress with his shotmaking, but the Nuggets ultimately couldn’t come back from a 25-point deficit in the fourth quarter, despite cutting the Rockets lead to just seven points late in the game.
The Nuggets are now on a three-game losing streak. What’s gotten into the Nuggets? Should fans be concerned? Or is this just Denver’s pathway to success this time around?
Ryan discusses Jokic’s struggles and how the team has to pick him up, as well as Murray’s ejection, free throw issues, and Aaron Gordon’s season to date.
