Heading into the Colorado high school football season, Mile High Sports went straight to the source in search of a preseason “Who’s Who” watch list – i.e. the players you’ll be hearing about for the next three months. Former Niwot standout, Buff and Bronco Matt McChesney – the founder of Six Zero Strength and Fitness – once again provides great high school football insight. Without further ado, here’s the Colorado Top 60, compiled by McChesney and presented by Six Zero Strength and Fitness.
We’re counting down the list from 60 to number one. Here are the 2016 All-Colorado Top 60 numbers 40-31.

No. 40: Nico Magri Monarch (DL)
Magri remains undecided when it comes to his college decisions but from his stats, you can see his dedication to the game. Though he has only been playing at a varsity level for one season, Magri held his own and managed to aid in 22 tackles. McChesney says he “sets the time” for Monarch.

No. 39: Kellen Parker Mountain Vista (WR)
Similar to many of his peers, Parker is still not sure which direction he will go when it comes to college. But by averaging over 40 receiving yards a game, Parker’s skills will have him playing at the next level. McChesney says he’s the kind of smart and tough player college coaches want.

No. 38: Will Rodgers Valor Christian (DE)
Looks like Rodgers is another young athlete that won’t be leaving the great state of Colorado anytime soon. Of the five schools Rodgers has gained attention from, three of them are in Colorado and he has received an offer from Northern Colorado. McChesney loves this two-way talent.

No. 37: Robert Moss Grandview (NT)
In only three games as a sophomore and junior Moss has still managed to create quite a bit a buzz by completing a tackle in each one of those games. Though still undecided, Moss has proven himself in a short amount of time. McChesney calls him a mountain in the middle at Grandview.

No. 36: Ryan Marquez Pomona (QB)
There’s no surprise that junior Marquez became part of the All-Colorado Top 60. Marquez has averaged more than 100 passing yards a game, and with two years left in high school Marquez will only continue to improve. Playing for one of the top programs in the state, Marquez is primed for a big year, per McChesney.

No. 35: Ezekiel Creps Skyview (OL)
Colorado is fighting hard to keep junior Creps here in his home state. Though Creps still has two years of high school left, he has already received offers from both Colorado State as well as the University of Colorado. McChesney, an o-lineman himself, thinks Creps has a bright future ahead.

No. 34: Connell Maxwell Denver East (WR)
While still unsure of his college path, Maxwell’s skills and commitment to the game are undeniable. McChesney says the Denver East wideout is a “red zone monster” and a “rare talent.”

No. 33: Blake Carette Arapahoe (OL)
After receiving attention from CU back in the early spring of 2016, Carette’s dedication to football has only grown. While still only a junior, Carette still has time to capture more universities’ attention. McChesney says he’s one of the best bigs in the state.

No. 32: Max Borghi Pomona (Athlete)
With over 1,5000 total rushing yards and 220 carries, there is no surprise why junior Borghi is gaining so much attention. With two years of high school left, Borghi has already been in talks with several different universities, including CU and CSU. McChesney says the “swiss army knife” is “lightning in a bottle.”

No. 31: Matt McClurg Heritage (OL)
Standing at 6-foot-5 and over 270 pounds it is no surprise that seven different schools have expressed interest in McClurg. Though decision has been made yet, McClurg has spiked interest in several different NCAA conferences. McChesney calls him a “true mauler.”
