Nuggets vs. Blazers Game 6 Player Props (June 3, 2021)

Although the Nuggets walked away with the win in Game 5, the biggest storyline coming out of the game was that of Damian Lillard’s superstar performance. Lillard set an NBA record for most three-pointers in a playoff game (12) as part of a 55-point performance. He shot 17-24 from the field, including 12-17 from beyond the arc. Unfortunately for Lillard, his teammates did not do enough to get the win in double overtime, ultimately falling by seven points.

Will the Nuggets end this series on the road or will the Trail Blazers force a decisive Game 7 in Denver?

CJ McCollum to Record Over 5.5 Rebounds (+115, BetMGM)

Damian Lillard’s backcourt running mate CJ McCollum was vocal in the aftermath of Portland’s Game 5 loss, lamenting what he perceived to be his team wasting a “god-like” effort from Lillard. Game 5 represented the first time that Lillard finished with fewer than 21 points, and while you could get in on McCollum to score over 22.5 points at -130 odds or under 22.5 points at -105 odds with BetMGM, consider looking at his rebounding market.

McCollum is coming off a seven rebound performance in Game 5, following a series-low four boards in Game 4. Prior to that, McCollum pulled down six rebounds twice and nine rebounds in Game 3. It’s worth noting that in his first meeting against the Nuggets in the regular season, McCollum recorded nine rebounds. Expect McCollum to come out with a fiery performance shooting the rock and crashing the glass to atone for a 7-22 performance from the field in Game 5 as he looks to support Lillard and force a Game 7 in Denver.

Damian Lillard and Nikola Jokić to Combine for 70+ Total Points Scored (+170, FanDuel Sportsbook)

If you’re looking for an excellent two-player prop worth your time, you might not find better value than Damian Lillard and Nikola Jokić to combine for 70+ points. This market features one of the most lethal threats from beyond the arc, as well as all other scoring areas in general, and one of the most talented big men in the NBA. Through five games in. this series the two have combined from the field as follows:

  • 5/22/21 POR @ DEN: Jokić 34, Lillard 34 (68 total)
  • 5/24/21 POR @ DEN: Jokić 38, Lillard 42 (80 total)
  • 5/27/21 DEN @ POR: Jokić 36, Lillard 37 (73 total)
  • 5/29/21 DEN @ POR: Jokić 16, Lillard 10 (26 total)
  • 6/1/21 POR @ DEN: Jokić 38, Lillard 55 (93 total)

The duo fell just two points shy of hitting the 70-point threshold in Game 1, but even with that aside, they’ve crossed the 70-point mark in three of the last four games in this series. Given the high stakes in this contest, it stands to reason each player could hit the 30+ point mark individually, with Lillard’s 50+ point potential as a realistic possibility.

Damian Lillard to Record a 30+ Point Double Double (+225, FOX Bet)

As mentioned above, Damian Lillard has had himself a standout series against the Nuggets through the first five games. Aside from his 31:01 of action in a 20-point blowout victory in Game 4, Lillard has played at least 39:32 in each of the remaining four games. In those contests, Lillard averaged a staggering 42 points per game. As such, the 30+ point portion of this market is a rather safe bet.

As for the double double portion of this one, Lillard has posted double-digit assists in four of five games in the series. He’s posted 10 assists in two consecutive games and in five of his last six games overall. In fact, Lillard posted two double doubles in the regular season against the Nuggets, including the regular season finale. Lillard is a big-time player looking to force Game 7 for his squad. This has solid upside at +225 odds.
