At this time of year, there are a lot of things to be nervous about, but injuries are right up there at the top of the list. Even the most promising team can see their season come collapsing down with one twist of the knee, like a Jenga tower made out of ACLs and high ankle sprains.
The Broncos, though, look healthier than ever. Aside from losing Omar Bolden for the season, every man on the Broncos roster was practicing fully on Wednesday, even Chris Harris Jr., who looked to be more than hobbled last Sunday versus the Steelers.
But in New England, it’s a much different story, as nearly their whole team looks to be spending some quality time in the infirmary.
In case you don’t feel like counting, that’s 20 Patriots on the injury report, 15 of which were listed as limited at Wednesday’s practice.
But if you’re attempting to draw any conclusions from that, slow your roll; nobody should trust anything Bill Belichick puts on any report. Not that he’s lying, but it wouldn’t be surprising if he pushed a couple guys towards a “limited” status just to make things a little more interesting for the Denver Broncos.
Expect to see the vast majority of those guys, if not all of them, playing at full force on Sunday.
