That was another difficult game to watch without the three-time MVP.

The Denver Nuggets lost to the Memphis Grizzlies last night in a game that was never really in doubt. The Nuggets scored just 90 points and were unable to string together a solid offensive performance. Jamal Murray struggled with just 13 points compared to six turnovers. Michael Porter Jr. had just 10 points and missed every three. The only player that played reasonably well offensively was Julian Strawther, but that was it.

Can the Nuggets turn things around while Jokic is missing games? It would help to have Aaron Gordon, but he’s out too. Dario Saric has filled in well, but he’s not Jokic.

We will see if Jokic is back by tomorrow. If he’s not the Nuggets will have another uphill battle against the Grizzlies once again.

On the latest episode of Pickaxe and Roll, Ryan Blackburn breaks down the Denver Nuggets 105-90 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies in what was another poor performance without MVP Nikola Jokic. Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. both struggled in this one, and the Nuggets simply didn’t have enough scoring to keep up with the Grizzlies. Ryan breaks down the issues, discusses the Murray concerns, and asks how much these games without Jokic actually matter.
