The Denver Broncos will have quite a few position battles on the offensive side of the football and those competitions already are in full effect as new talent is injected into the Broncos offense.
Position battles are at hand because of the amount of new talent on offense — once a dried up well — now featuring the towering 6-3, 218lb wide receiver Courtland Sutton from SMU. A well-versed route runner and speedy DaeSean Hamilton out of Penn State and of course the additions at running back Royce Freeman out of Oregon and Colorado’s own Phillip Lindsay, all led by new quarterback Case Keenum.
Finding all the pieces to the puzzle and utilizing the many weapons at their disposal will be offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave and head coach Vance Joseph — which could be the key to 2018. The talent is there, it now must be unlocked.
Dishing on those position battles at wide receiver, running back and more is Broncos Blitz podcast host Ronnie Kohrt and special guest Mile High Sports AM 1340 | FM 104.7 morning show host David Hurlbut.
With intense battles at wide receiver, the guys discuss how Sutton and Hamilton will fit in the new Broncos offense and who will emerge as a leading contributor early.
The guys also talk about how Bill Musgrave may utilize weapons and who is facing more pressure to see Keenum excel, Vance Joseph? Or Musgrave?
