Denver Broncos Head Coach Vance Joseph announced on Monday that Shane Ray will be among the players currently on IR that have been cleared to begin practicing next week. The third-year outside linebacker suffered a wrist injury during training camp and has not played this season.
Les Shapiro of Mile High Sports AM 1340 | FM 104.7 caught up with Ray on Monday to discuss his recovery and look ahead to his eventual return to the field. Ray says the pins are out of his wrist and he’s anxious to get back to action.
Per the injured reserve policy, players placed on IR before the season can begin practicing at the start of Week 6 and may be active beginning Week 8. Teams may return two players from IR during the season.
