After guiding his team to a 23-0 win over the New York Jets, starting quarterback Trevor Siemian‘s next challenge is to successfully navigate a short week of preparation before the Broncos head to Indianapolis to play the Colts on Thursday Night Football.
The Broncos had no turnovers on Sunday, a trend that Siemian would like to see continue. “When you win the turnover battle, your chances of winning the game go up,” Siemian said. “We haven’t played with a lead on the road in forever, so if we can get off to a good start, I think that helps. Obviously, the turnover battle is huge in those games.”
Siemian also applauded the defense, which registered its first shutout in a dozen seasons. “When they don’t score any points, it’s tough to lose too.”
