With the last day of Trevor Siemian Watch coming to an end, many questions have been answered, while many still remain.
On Friday head coach Gary Kubiak listed Siemian as questionable for the game against the Atlanta Falcons.
“We have 48 hours here so we will see how he comes out of it tomorrow and see how he feels, but took a lot more today,” Kubiak said. “He did a little bit more, took more reps at practice, and we will continue to see how he comes out of it … we moved him around a bit today, something we didn’t do yesterday.”
While the designation of questionable still leaves plenty of uncertainty on whether Siemian will start on Sunday, looking at his progression throughout the week would give a good indication of his status for Sunday. Kubiak said the determining factor for if he will start will be how Siemian looks in the eyes of the head coach.
“Go back and look at the big picture. We will probably work him a little bit more tomorrow than we normally would a player on a Saturday,” Kubiak said. “But he’s made progress every day.”
Siemian progressed through the week from not practicing on Wednesday, to limited on Thursday and Friday. However, on Friday Siemian seemed to have no limitations in his throwing motion during the period of practice open to the media.

“He’s shown the ability to move and do the things he needs to do,” Kubiak said. “It’s really just watching him tomorrow and seeing what we think.”
Along with Siemian there were a few other starters on injury watch, most importantly tight end Virgil Green and right tackle Donald Stephenson. On Friday, Kubiak listed both of them as questionable.
“I think they are both in position [to play],” Kubiak said. “We have the same decision to make on them as we do with Trevor.”
Both Green and Stephenson have been listed as day-to-day for the past two weeks, yet both have missed the past two games due to injury.
Since next week the Broncos play the San Diego Chargers on Thursday, the Broncos could opt to hold Siemian, Stephenson and Green out on Sunday to have them healthy enough for the short week. However, Kubiak said Thursday will not change their status for Sunday.
“Not really, those are pretty close dates,” Kubiak said.
With so much uncertainty surrounding three starters on the offense, it is difficult to project what the Broncos offense will look like on Sunday. Fortunately for the Broncos, the Falcons defense is not the strengths of their team.
