The Broncos have been somewhat lucky when it comes to health in this early season, but that luck has run out, it seems.
Earlier in the week, Denver had to place starting punter Marquette King on the Injured Reserve list, meaning they’ll be starting Colby Wadman, an undrafted rookie who’s never taken a snap in a preseason or regular season NFL game.
Besides that change being made, the Broncos put starting right tackle Jared Veldheer on their inactives list, meaning someone will have to step up and into that key role on the offensive line:

With Veldheer out, that means Billy Turner will almost certainly get the start at right tackle. Turner, a fifth-year pro, has played in 24 games in his career and started 14.
The offensive line depth is also hurt due to rookie guard Sam Jones being unavailable to play today in New York.
On the defensive side of the ball, Denver’s secondary will be without their No. 4 cornerback in Tramaine Brock as well as safety depth man Shamarko Thomas. Also, backup defensive end DeMarcus Walker is still yet to make an appearance this year, as he’s again inactive against the Jets.
Playing on the road for an 11 a.m. MT start is always difficult for Denver, but doing so without some key players will be even more interesting to watch. If the Broncos offense struggles, like we’ve seen multiple times this season already, and they have to punt a great deal, how will Wadman perform?
And, will the Jets be able to pressure Keenum — who’s already been mistake prone — from that right side with Turner having to step in? These are all points of emphasis to keep an eye on during the game today in MetLife Stadium.
