Von Miller spoke to the media on Wednesday and had some praise for rookie quarterback Drew Lock.
“I just want to be here when he gets famous,” Miller said. “He’s going to kill it. He’s got everything you need. The other day he ran out and did like a little bootleg and he kind of threw it — it was an incomplete pass, but I’ve seen a lot of good ones play and that was probably one of the best incomplete passes I’ve seen thrown.”
“He has a little flip up,” Miller continued. “He’s just a star in the making. You saw it with Tony Romo and Aaron Rodgers and all these guys and they just blow up and I see the same stuff for Drew. All he has to do is just keep doing what he’s doing and good karma and just the type of guy he is, it’s all going to come back to him,” he said.
That’s some incredible praise for the rookie from a future Hall of Famer. Drew Lock made his return to practice this week, giving him three weeks to return to the football field.
The current expectation is for the Broncos to start Brandon Allen for their upcoming two-game road trip. That road trip will see them play the stout defenses of the Vikings and Bills before handing the reins over to Lock for the home stretch against the Chargers, Texans, Chiefs, Lions and Raiders.
First up, Denver is at Minnesota this Sunday with kickoff scheduled for 11 am MT.
