Everyone has an opinion on what the Denver Broncos should do at the quarterback position ahead of the 2018 season, but not everyone’s opinion holds any weight.
Mine certainly doesn’t, and yours probably doesn’t either, but six-time All-Pro linebacker Von Miller’s does, and he’s making his opinion crystal clear.
This Valentines Day, Von Miller is head over heels for Kirk Cousins.
Miller has been in hot pursuit of free agent quarterback Cousins since the Washington Redskins cruised to an easy 27-11 victory over the Broncos on Christmas Eve.
“Whenever it comes to elite guys, that’s just who they are,” Miller said during the week leading up to the game. “It’s just Kirk. It’s just Kirk Cousins, he’s good at everything. With his contract and all that stuff, he’s still been able to block that stuff out and go out there and perform at a high level.”
His tone wasn’t much different after the game as well.
“Kirk’s a great quarterback,” Miller said after the Week 15 contest. “I’ll say that everyday of the week. A lot of teams would kill to have a quarterback like that. He just came out and was playing great. At first, he was a little shaky but back to typical Kirk Cousins in the second half.”
Cousins completed 19 of his 37 passes for 299 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in the win. While not one of his best performances, it was enough to make Miller a believer, and he’s been outspoken about it since.
“I’ve talked to him before,” Miller said on The Dan Patrick Show on January 31. “He knows exactly how I feel about Kirk Cousins and what he would mean to our team, and what he would mean to a lot of teams… Kirk would take us over the edge.”
Miller’s pursuit didn’t stop at Super Bowl LII either. He made his latest recruiting pitch to Cousins via both Instagram and Twitter.
You’re absolutely right! If Kirk loves rainbows, I LOVE RAINBOWs! Lol https://t.co/yhNptowJg4

Miller is a team guy, so there’s no doubt he’ll get behind whoever the Broncos starting quarterback is next season, but he’s left no doubt in anyone’s mind who he’d prefer to have in orange and blue in 2018.
