Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller welcomed soccer star Tim Howard to Colorado during a news segment on Good Morning America.
“Hey Tim, huge fan, super excited to have you in this state,” Miller said. “Colorado baby!”
Howard definitely recognized Miller’s talent.
“Yeah that’s a big time player that’s pretty awesome!”

Howard revealed 10 factoids, during the segment, which few knew about him. He’s definitely looking forward to making the move to Denver, because he said that the Colorado sunshine was his favorite escape.
“It’s been 13 years in Manchester, England, not a lot of sun, but in Denver we get a lot.”
In 2004 Howard earned English Premier League Goalkeeper of the year and in 2012 he set a new Premier League record for consecutive appearances for one club by playing his 184th game in a row. He had nothing but good things to say, via ESPN.
“I’ve had a fantastic career in England, in particular at Everton Football Club,” Howard said. “It’s not done yet, but I think as football clubs move forward and players have careers to think about, you always have to make decisions.
Howard will officially leave his Premier League team, Everton, at the end of the English soccer season and will be eligible to play for the Colorado Rapids on July 8, when the MLS summer transfer window opens.
Howard is probably most famous in America for his memorable performances for the United States Men’s National Team. During his time on the USMNT he amassed the most wins (55) and appearances (104) among U.S. goalkeepers. He also has 35 shutouts, which is the second-most in USMNT history. In 2014 he set a World Cup record when he made 16 saves against Belgium in the tournament’s Round of 16.
Howard has proven his game-changing ability over the years. Even at 37 years old, the change in play quality that the move to Major League Soccer represents should keep him looking comparatively young until the expiration of his new two and a half season contract.
