If Aaron Rodgers wasn’t ready to get out of the Mile High City as his Packers trailed the Denver Broncos late in the third quarter on Sunday Night Football, he probably did after this play.
Denver had registered just one sack on the night at this point, down from their league-leading average, but they made them count when they came.
At one point, Cris Collinsworth said, “If it wasn’t Aaron Rodgers back there, the Broncos might have 10 sacks on the night.”
Well, this play by DeMarcus Ware was more than a suitable tradeoff.
Any time DeMarcus Ware goes unblocked, bad things happen to QBs.
