While most NFL athletes are excitedly (nervously) watching the NFL Draft, looking to see who their team selects to play next to them (replace them) on the field, Emmanuel Sanders was doing something unconventional.
He was going undercover, as a reporter for the Broncos, to interview soldiers down in Fort Carson during an NFL Draft party.
Eventually, Sanders threw off the costume, and America’s finest was able to spend some quality time with the Pro Bowl wideout, talking football and signing autographs.
For Sanders, he’s used to being the most-recognizable man in the room, but even he knows his accomplishments pale in comparison to what these men and women do every day.
“I am very appreciative of everything that they do,” Sanders said of military personnel, via Fox21 News. “I know sometimes we walk around and kids say we are heroes… but these ladies and gentlemen are the real heroes.”
