Graham Gano nailed the practice kick. With nine seconds to go and a 50-yard field goal to steal a home win from the defending Super Bowl champs on their home turf, Gano put the ball through the uprights just seconds after Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak called a timeout to ice him.
The next kick, the one that counted, missed.

Broncos and Panthers fans will of course remember that Gano clanked a field goal off the upright in Super Bowl 50 – one that could have brought Carolina within three in that game. That miss ultimately didn’t cost them the game, however. This one did. Here’s another view from field level.
