The No. 15 Colorado Buffaloes (7-2, 5-1) defeated the UCLA Bruins (3-6, 1-5), 20-10 on Thursday night. It was an ugly and uncharacteristic game for the Buffs; the least-penalized team in the Pac-12, accumulated 12 penalties for 128 yards and had four first half turnovers.

For the second straight week, the Colorado offense and quarterback Sefo Liufau struggled, and yet again the No. 1 defense in the Pac-12 stepped up to the challenge. CU held UCLA to 210 total yards of offense and just 25 yards on the ground on 30 carries.

It wasn’t until late in the third quarter that the Buffs began to take complete control of the game. Then, for the first time in 11 years, the Buffs got a punt return touchdown from cornerback Isaiah Oliver late in the fourth quarter that would seal the victory.

CU will travel to Tucson next week and face the Arizona Wildcats in the final road game of the regular season.
