Not everyone has lost hope in the Von Miller contract saga. Former Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning firmly believes Miller will be in a Broncos uniform next season.
“I think Von will re-sign and I do not see that being a problem at all,” Manning told TMZ. “That’s the business side of it. I know both sides want to work it out. I know he wants to be in Denver, Denver wants him, so I think it’ll work out.”
It has been a roller coaster ride for both sides this offseason, and neither has been willing to budge much off their spot. But if there’s anybody who knows about the business of the NFL, it’s Peyton Manning, the highest-paid player in NFL history.
Contract negations resumed this past weekend and the deadline to sign a long-term deal is fast approaching. Hopefully Manning is right, and we don’t have to find out whether Miller truly is willing to sit out the season.
