It can be a tall task to find fault with a team that’s 2-0 to start the season and hasn’t suffered defeat since before Christmas of last year, but that’s what 120 Sports asked Marlin Jackson to do with the Denver Broncos.
“It’s hard, first of all, to find something that concerns you so far when you look at this team,” Jackson said Monday following Denver’s 34-20 win over the Colts. Denver was as good as ever on defense against Indianapolis, but they left the game with a key injury to DeMarcus Ware and the offense struggled at times because of an inexperienced quarterback. Those are the two biggest threats to a Broncos repeat according to Jackson.
The Broncos face another test on Sunday when they travel to Cincinnati. It’ll be Trevor Siemian’s first road start and they’ll be without Ware and right tackle Donald Stephenson, putting Jackson’s concerns to the test in just a few short days.
