It seems that the Denver Nuggets lose a road game after every four-game winning streak.
In the latest episode of the Pickaxe and Roll Podcast, Ryan Blackburn discusses the Nuggets 107-104 loss to the Houston Rockets on Sunday night to drop to 8-2. The Nuggets had a chance to close the gap at the very end, but a costly turnover with 14 seconds left and a missed three-quarter court heave by Nikola Jokic did the Nuggets in.
Jokic was dominant in this game with 36 points, 21 rebounds, and 11 assists an absolutely insane triple-double last accomplished by Wilt Chamberlain in 1968. It didn’t end up mattering by the end though. The Nuggets bench struggled tremendously, scoring just eight points all game and leaving the starters out to dry.
Ryan talks about what happened, what it means, and how the Nuggets can bounce back on Tuesday. Will there be a rotation change on the second unit? What do the Nuggets need from Christian Braun, Peyton Watson, and Zeke Nnaji in particular?
