The Colorado Rockies lost 96 games and 94 games the last two seasons. They haven’t been to the playoffs since 2009. And, (maybe the biggest indictment) they’ve barely been relevant in this town past the All-star break the last five years.
Outside of some great individual performances there hasn’t been much to cheer for at 20th and Blake. After opening day most people forget about the Colorado Rockies until they’re looking for something to do on a sunny day.
Danny Williams and Marcello Romano of Morning Mayhem wonder if the team left if anyone would notice. The Rockies still draw 35,000 fans a game but wouldn’t all of those people find something else to do?
It’s an interesting question given the last two years of complete irrelevance the Rockies have experienced.
