The Colorado Avalanche bounced back from a loss to the Winnipeg Jets with a dominating 9-2 win over the Calgary Flames on Monday night.

Five goals were scored in the first period — two from Nazem Kadri, against his former team. Nine Avs had multipoint outings, including three-point games for Parker Kelly and Jack Drury.

Cale Makar, Nathan MacKinnon, and Martin Necas tallied three each, as well. The downside of the win was Makar leaving early because of an upper-body injury.
