Since its inception in 2013, the football program at IMG Academy has become a high school powerhouse. After finishing this past season undefeated, Maxpreps ranked them the fourth best team in the country. Former Cherry Creek High School defensive end Dante Sparaco transferred to the school to play his final season of high school football to gain college recruiting exposure. The move paid off as Sparaco signed with the University of Colorado football program.
Sparaco finished his senior season with 71 tackles, 11 for losses, six sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, nine quarterback hurries and one pass breakup. Sparaco graduated early and has already begun class at CU.
