The Denver Broncos spent the first two days of free agency fortifying their offensive line. On day three, general manager John Elway turned his attention to the defensive side.
On Saturday, the Broncos reportedly agreed to two-year contracts with defensive tackle Domata Peko and defensive end Zach Kerr.

According to Klis, Peko’s deal is worth $7.5 million, with $3.8 million guaranteed. The 32-year-old spent the first 11 seasons of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals. Incredibly, he has only missed five career games (all coming in 2009). The cousin of current Bronco Kyle Peko, he had 37 tackles and three passes defensed in 2016. Though he had zero sacks last season, he posted a career-high five in 2015.
The 26-year-old Kerr was set to become a restricted free agent, but was not tendered by the Indianapolis Colts. Last season, his third after joining the franchise as a college free agent, he had 19 tackles and 2.75 sacks in 12 games (four starts). Kerr can also play defensive tackle.
Between Peko, Kerr, Ron Leary and Menelik Watson, Elway is proving that he feels size does matter this free agent period.
