The Denver Broncos have promoted safety Trey Marshall to the active roster and waived safety Shamarko Thomas, the organization announced Tuesday.
Marshall, a 22-year old undrafted free agent out of Florida State, recorded nine tackles during the preseason. In four seasons with the Seminoles, the 6’0″, 210-pound cornerback had 135 tackles and one pass deflection.
Thomas had seven total tackles in six games on the active roster this season. The sixth-year pro signed with Denver in August after being cut by the Indianapolis Colts.
