On Monday, Charlie Blackmon was named the National League Player of the Week for his work against the Marlins, Yankees and Diamondbacks, where he hit .424/.472/.909.

Blackmon is hitting .304 so far this season, while racking up 12 home runs. He has been one of the bright stars so far this season and has shocked fans with how well he has been playing thus far.
With the All-Star game coming up in July, Blackmon is making a strong push to be voted in and represent the Rockies in San Diego. Blackmon made the All-Star game in 2014, which has been his only selection in his career thus far. Hopefully, he can find the same kind of success this week as the Rockies face the Toronto Blue Jays at home and then the Los Angeles Dodgers on the road.
