The University of Colorado Men’s basketball team received big news Friday afternoon as Dominique Clifford, the Vanguard School standout, announced that he will be continuing his playing career with the Buffaloes for the 2020-21 academic year.
Clifford took an official visit up to Boulder on September 6th with head coach Tad Boyle. It would appear that Boyle made a strong first impression as Clifford has made his announcement.

Clifford is a 6-foot-5 shooting guard and is coming off of a career year, averaging 18.9 points along with 11.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists. He helped lead the Coursers to the 3A state championship game as a junior.
The four-star combo guard received interest from several other schools including Colorado State, Air Force, Metro State, Wyoming, Nebraska, University of Denver, San Jose State, and Stanford.
He played AAU ball with the Colorado Miners and had a successful summer which garnered plenty of attention.
Known for his slashing style and ability to finish at or above the rim, Clifford is a strong shooter and has shown versatility on the court. Clifford was named to the CHSAA High School 3A All-State First Team in his junior season and has been named a preseason candidate for Prep Hoop Colorado’s Mr. Basketball for the upcoming season, which honors the state’s top prep basketball players each year.
