The Rise continues to be real.
After taking down the Utah on Saturday to secure the Pac-12 South, the Colorado Buffaloes have moved up to No. 8 in the College Football Playoff Rankings, putting them within sniffing distance of the final four.

On Friday, the Buffs will take on the No. 4 ranked Washington Huskies for the Pac-12 Championship. A win there, and the Buffs will have a real case for the playoffs.
Obviously, they’ll surpass Washington, and they’ll jump whomever loses the Big-10 Championship (Wisconsin or Penn State), putting them at six. If the committee wants a Pac-12 team in the playoffs, CU will be the pick.
