If you haven’t seen ESPN’s latest 30-for-30 documentary, The Gospel According to Mac, make sure you find the next re-airing because it’s an absolute must-watch.
Detailing the story of legendary head coach Bill McCartney and his 1990 championship team, the documentary brings to life a part of the Colorado Buffaloes’ football program that has lain dormant for years. But not any more.
Not only are fans around the country suddenly realizing that there’s a lot more to being a Colorado Buffalo than just being an alumni of the University of Colorado, but so are the players themselves. After watching the documentary as team, Coach Mike MacIntyre‘s squad has been motivated to pay tribute to the championship team that came before them.
Last night's #30for30 moved our players;they chose to change the uniform plan and honor the legacy with our traditional uniforms…

It may be just a movie, but The Gospel According to Mac may end up being one of the most important things to happen to the Colorado Buffaloes in a long time.
