Prior to Friday morning’s training camp practice, the Denver Broncos held a special ceremony to commemorate the milestone of the last beam being placed on the new team facility’s building structure.
Denver Broncos commemorate milestone with new team facility build
Just under a year ago, the Denver Broncos broke ground on the construction of their new state-of-the-art team facility that is anticipated to be open in May of 2026. Friday morning saw an important milestone, with the final beam of the new facility’s building structure being topped out.
The new facility is being designed in a contemporary style that’s reflective of Colorado, with a focus on enhancing player health and performance. The Broncos’ new facility will bring together football and business operations in an inspirational, collaborative, and modern environment, rounding out into a three-story, 205,000 square-foot training facility that will mark a 30 percent increase in size over the existing facility.
Broncos President Damani Leech spoke at the ceremony with the media, highlighting the progress made in the ongoing construction, which has stayed on track and efficient despite the aggressive timeline of being able to open officially in May of 2026.
“While there is still much more work to be done, we want to take this moment to celebrate the incredible progress and, especially, the incredible people who are making it possible,” Leech said.
On Thursday, Broncos CEO and owner Greg Penner and Carrie Walton Penner went on a tour of the current build.

The foundation of the new facility looks incredible, after we were able to tour parts of the construction on our way to the Topping Out Ceremony.
Over 100+ staff members, including head coach Sean Payton and general manager George Paton, signed the final piece of timber that was placed on top of the new team facility. Carrie Walton Penner was the final person to sign it before it was lifted by crane and placed.
