The Denver Broncos were back on the practice field on Thursday ahead of their Monday Night Football showdown with Jameis Winston and the Cleveland Browns. Good news for the Broncos front, all signs point to them having their best interior defensive lineman back for the game.
Denver Broncos Zach Allen back from heel injury
The Denver Broncos are trending toward Zach Allen being back on Monday Night Football against the Cleveland Browns, barring any type of setback. Allen missed Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders after suffering a heel injury in practice last Friday. He was spotted in a walking boot pregame last Sunday, which begged the question of his status.
Earlier in the week, Broncos head coach Sean Payton said that they should be ‘fine’ regarding his injury, and that proved to be true. On Wednesday, the Broncos held practice, and Allen was present for the media viewing portion. Because the league did not mandate an injury report on Wednesday, we could not mention Allen’s participation.
While the #Broncos were on the field today, the league doesn’t mandate teams release an injury report today so no updates on player attendance.

On Thanksgiving Day, the Broncos held a short walkthrough, and Allen popped up as an estimated full participant, which is a great sign of the progress he’s made this week.
Riley Moss did not participate in Thursday’s walkthrough, and all signs appear that he may miss some time as he undergoes treatment for what the team is calling an MCL injury. The good news is that Moss appears to have avoided something serious, which is all that matters at this point.
Brandon Jones (abdomen), P.J. Locke (thumb), and wide receiver Josh Reynolds (hand) joined Allen as full participants in Thursday’s walkthrough.

Note: We held a walkthrough so today's report is an estimation.

The only players who were limited were John Franklin-Myers (shoulder) and rookie QB Bo Nix (back). Nix tweaked his back on his second touchdown throw to Courtland Sutton in Sunday’s win vs. the Raiders, but he should be good to go. Franklin-Myers should be good for Monday as well, but Friday’s practice report will provide the next update.
The Broncos will be back on the practice field this afternoon.
