The Denver Broncos starting offense came out rusty and sluggish in Saturday’s preseason win against the San Francisco 49ers. For Bo Nix and the offense, it was their first game action of the 2025 season and the film showcases plenty of room for improvement.

Some of the highlighted struggles from the offense included pass protection, some underthrown passes from Nix, and some miscues in run blocking. Keep in mind, the Broncos offense is running a very basic and vanilla version of their foundational principles on offense, and while Saturday’s game was average to below average in terms of production (Sean Payton’s words), playing your starters in the preseason is a great way to iron out some of these details before the regular season rolls around.
