The Denver Broncos have got themselves ‘one’ in rookie quarterback Bo Nix, according to Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes. After his Week 10 performance against the Chiefs, Denver’s rookie under center is taking home yet another prestigious NFL honor.

Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix named NFL’s Rookie of the Week

After winning the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Month honors for the month of October, Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix is taking home the honors of NFL Rookie of the Week for Week 10.

Nix went 22-of-30 passing for 215 yards and two touchdowns with a passer rating of 115.3 against the Chiefs’ top-ranked defense on the road at Arrowhead.

He currently leads all rookies in completions (206) and passing touchdowns (10) while ranking second in passing yards (1,968), just behind Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels.

Nix is in a position where he’s making a stronger case each week for the NFL’s Rookie of the Year award. Considering the early start he had in his rookie season, he’s grown significantly since Week 1 and Week 2.

Despite Denver losing on a blocked field goal, Nix shared how pleased he is with the direction the team is heading as they look to improve to 6-5 on Sunday if they can beat the Atlanta Falcons.

“I think we’ve been through a lot of highs and a lot of lows this year already, and I think that we’re very close to turning a corner and getting over the hump,” Nix said. “I think we have a young team and we’ve done a lot of growing this year. We have some younger guys that are playing a lot of ball, so that only helps. I definitely think it’s ahead of us. I think we’ve played some good ball so far, but I think the consistency piece is going to continue to grow for us. I think it’s right around the corner.”

On Sunday against the Falcons, Nix can join Peyton Manning as the only rookie quarterback all-time with at least 200 passing yards and multiple touchdown passes in four consecutive home games.
