The Denver Broncos have won 11 straight games and sit atop the AFC with a 12-2 record after Bo Nix’s career day leads them to another come-from-behind win against the Green Bay Packers.
Denver Broncos 12-2 behind Bo Nix’s career day
For the fourth time in his career, Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix had a four-touchdown day in Sunday’s come-from-behind win against the Green Bay Packers, clinching a playoff spot for the second year in a row.
Denver was trailing 23-14 in the third quarter, and Nix and the offense continued to lock in. Nix connected with Michael Bandy, Courtland Sutton, Lil’Jordan Humphrey, and Troy Franklin on scoring plays.
Nix finished the game going 23-of-34 for 302 yards, a passer rating of 134.7 and his four touchdowns on the day. What makes this win more sweet for Denver is the fact that they had their backs against the wall once again, this time in the third quarter, trailing 23-14 before Nix found Sutton and Franklin for scoring plays on back-to-back drives, fueled by Patrick Surtain II intercepting a Jordan Love pass to give the offense the ball back.
Nix’s decision-making was sharp, and his ability to extend plays with his legs led to sustained drives and, more importantly, moved the chains for 21 first downs offensively, leading to 391 total yards of offense on 65 plays, with an insane 6.0 yards per play.
Not only did he connect with four different receivers for touchdowns today, but he also completed passes to seven different options.
Nix and the offense answered the call in one of the biggest games of the season, and 11-straight wins is undeniable, no matter how many pundits try to move the goalposts.
This was the best game of Nix’s career against a high-quality team, and Denver should be taken seriously.
