The Denver Broncos have released their list of inactive players for this week’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Kickoff is slated for 11:00 a.m. MT on FOX as the Broncos are looking to avoid starting off the season 0-3 as they begin their first of a two-game East Coast road trip.
Denver Broncos inactive group vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
For the second week in a row the Denver Broncos will be without rookie wide receiver Devaughn Vele as he works his way back through a rib injury. Vele was a full participant in Friday’s practice but will be given another week to regroup after suffering a cracked rib in the team’s season opener against the Seattle Seahawks.
JL Skinner missed practice all week long with an ankle injury that he suffered in Denver’s Week 2 loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The team elevated running back Tyler Badie and safety Tanner McCalister as a gameday activation, while wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey was promoted to the 53-man roster after the Broncos placed outside linebacker Baron Browning on injured reserve.
Here is the full list of inactive players for today’s game.
Broncos inactive list
- Wide receiver Devaughn Vele
- Quarterback Zach Wilson
- Cornerback Kris Abrams-Draine
- Running back Blake Watson
- Safety JL Skinner
- Tight end Lucas Krull
- Defensive lineman Eyioma Uwazurike
This group indicates that wide receiver Troy Franklin and offensive tackle Frank Crum will be active for the team this week. Crum will likely back up Alex Palczewski today as he gets the start in place of Mike McGlinchey, who will be out for the next four weeks on injured reserve with an MCL sprain.
Zach Wilson will serve as the emergency quarterback, as he has for the first two weeks of the regular season.
Kickoff is set in just a little over an hour as Denver looks to get their first win of the season.
