The Denver Broncos have signed a handful of players to futures contracts after their season ended on Sunday against the New England Patriots. These players will be around when the team’s offseason program begins in April, and on-field work takes place in May and June for minicamp.
Denver Broncos sign handful of players to futures contracts
The Denver Broncos signed six players to futures contracts after they spent most of the season on the team’s practice squad. Denver signed running backs Deuce Vaughn and Cody Schrader, linebacker Levelle Bailey, tight end Caleb Lohner, defensive tackle Jordan Miller, and veteran guard Calvin Throckmorton.
The Broncos have made offers to other players who spent time on their practice squad, but several players are mulling options from different teams, per source.
There’s a chance that more players sign futures deals today after Sean Payton and George Paton meet with the media for their end-of-the-year press conference.
