The Denver Broncos will kick things off in the next 90 minutes against the Las Vegas Raiders and will be looking to secure their 10th straight win. With a win today, the Broncos could lock up an important tiebreaker over the New England Patriots if both teams were to hypothetically finish the season with the same record.
The inactives start with two players who were ruled out on Friday due to injury. Defensive lineman D.J. Jones is inactive with an ankle injury, and this will be a big blow to the Broncos’ trench play. Veteran Malcolm Roach will likely start in Jones’ place today, while players like Eyioma Uwazurike and rookie Sai’vion Jones rotate in.
Tight end Nate Adkins will miss his fifth consecutive game with a knee injury that’s kept him out of action. On Saturday, the Broncos promoted veteran tight end Marcedes Lewis to the active roster, so he, Evan Engram, and Adam Trautman will be the tight ends who take the field on Sunday.
Cornerback Reese Taylor will be inactive as a healthy scratch this week, considering the Broncos’ depth at cornerback and need for depth contributions from the defensive line. Outside linebacker Que Robinson will be inactive today as well, with the return of Jonah Elliss into the pass rush rotation behind Jonathon Cooper and Nik Bonitto.
Defensive lineman Jordan Jackson and offensive tackle Geron Christian will continue to be standard gameday inactives.
