The Denver Broncos were back on the practice field on Monday for an early week practice ahead of this week’s season opener against the Tennessee Titans. As Sean Payton promised last week, Marvin Mims was back on the field.

Denver Broncos WR Marvin Mims returns to practice

After pulling up last week during practice with an apparent groin injury, Denver Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims was back on the practice field on Monday.

As the team prepares for their Week 1 matchup at home against the Titans, his return to practice is a good sign early on. Denver won’t release their first initial injury report until after Wednesday’s practice concludes, but Mims was present for team stretch and participated in individual period, but it’s unknown what his level of participation was when Denver transitioned into their team period.

Jon Gruden visits Sean Payton

After placing a friendly wager last week ahead of Dayton vs. Eastern Illinois’s football matchup, Jon Gruden was present in Dove Valley for today’s practice as a guest of Sean Payton’s. Eastern Illinois ended up winning over Dayton, putting Payton on top of the wager they made last week with one another.

We’ll see if Gruden filmed any content for his season preview series over at Barstool, but chances are the visit was for him to catch up with an old friend.

The Broncos will be back on the practice field officially on Wednesday for their first full regular-season practice.
