An Aaron Gordon missed dunk, a key turnover from Michael Porter Jr., a missed timeout from David Adelman, and too much pressure on Nikola Jokic.

There were several reasons why the Denver Nuggets lost Game 2 to the Los Angeles Clippers. Kawhi Leonard’s 39 points on 19 shots had a lot to do with it, but Denver could’ve survived that had they not committed 20 turnovers, missed eight free throws, and played a more precise game of their own. It’s a tough position to be in, but it’s the truth. The Nuggets missed a huge opportunity to go up 2-0 in this series. Will they pay the price for it? To be determined.

On the latest episode of Pickaxe and Roll, Ryan Blackburn breaks down the Denver Nuggets 105-102 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 2 to even up the series at 1-1. Kawhi Leonard was unbelievable, and while Nikola Jokic made shots and played good defense, he also made more mistakes than normal. The Nuggets as a team made too many mistakes in the clutch, and it cost them what could be an important early game.

Ryan breaks down the loss, elements that were different from Game 1, and where the series currently stands.
