The Denver Broncos may have to look elsewhere this Sunday when it comes to the health status of inside linebacker Dre Greenlaw after he missed Thursday’s practice.

Denver Broncos LB Dre Greenlaw’s status in question ahead of Sunday’s season opener

Now that the regular season is here, the Denver Broncos release an injury report following every practice. For the second consecutive day, inside linebacker Dre Greenlaw did not participate as he continues to deal with a quad injury that’s impacted him since April and a scare during training camp late in July.

That makes two straight practices listed as a DNP for Greenlaw, which doesn’t paint a promising picture for his status on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

In the event Greenlaw doesn’t see an upgrade in status during tomorrow’s practice, the Broncos will likely rely on Alex Singleton, Justin Strnad, undrafted rookie Karene Reid, and a possible practice squad elevation or two with Levelle Bailey or Jordan Turner.

Nate Adkins and Reese Taylor were the other two participants who did not practice either.

Singleton (thumb), Marvin Mims (thigh), and Nik Bonitto (foot) were all full participants.

Defensive lineman Malcolm Roach was listed as limited, but was spotted during team stretch and individual period before leaving during the media viewing portion of practice. Outside linebacker Dondrea Tillman was listed as questionable with a hamstring injury.

With Tillman popping up on the report today, it will be worth monitoring his status on Friday to get a better idea of his availability for Sunday’s game. If he cannot go, it would be safe to assume the Broncos will rely on Jonah Elliss and rookie Que Robinson vs. the Titans.
