One of the most-interesting questions throughout training camp and the preseason was who was going to grab the Nuggets’ final roster spot?
Axel Toupane and JaKarr Sampson were the favorites, having played with the Nuggets last season, but with so much depth on the wing, they were both cut after Denver’s preseason matchup against the Warriors.
With both players being cut, there was a group of training camp invites left: Nate Wolters, Robbie Hummel and Jarnell Stokes.
The Nuggets opted with Stokes on Saturday.

The 2015-16 D-League’s Most Valuable Player, Jarnell Stokes, has officially landed the 15th and final roster spot.
Stokes averaged 5.6 ppg and 4.3 rpg in the preseason, while shooting over 53 percent from the field.
The addition of Stokes makes sense in terms of depth in the front court. With Nikola Jokic and Jusuf Nurkic set to be in the starting line up and Darrell Arthur injured, that leaves Kenneth Faried as the lone big man off of the bench. This gives the Nuggets depth in the front court.
