Klint Kubiak will join the Las Vegas Raiders soon as their next head coach.
That, per Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.

Kubiak will be leading the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX this weekend, and then will join the Raiders.
Klint Kubiak to join Las Vegas Raiders as head coach
Klint Kubiak, son of Denver Broncos legendary coach and player Gary Kubiak, is soon to be named the Raiders head coach.
Besides having a dad as a head coach, Klint played strong safety at Colorado State University from 2005-2009. Since then, he’s spent the last 15 years in the college and NFL coaching ranks, including being a Denver Broncos offensive assistant from 2016-2018. In 2021 he was the Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator, then came back to the Mile High City for one year as the passing game coordinator and QBs coach in 2022, and was the Saints offensive coordinator in 2024.
This year, he’s helped the Seahawks as their offensive coordinator, helping Seattle to become the No. 3 offense in the NFL. Not only has Kubiak helped Sam Darnold continue his great play he experienced in Minnesota last year, but he also helped Jaxson Smith-Njigba to an All-Pro season. That Seahawks offense features not only explosive passing but explosive running, too, highlighted by a two-back system (before Zach Charbonnet was injured).
Here’s a few more Kubiak Broncos-related factoids from Josh Dubow at the Associated Press.
Gary Kubiak's final game as an NFL head coach was a 24-6 win for Broncos vs #Raiders in Week 17 of 2016 season. Now his son Klint is getting ready to take over Raiders for his first head coaching job

Gary Kubiak-Klint Kubiak are 10th father-son head coaches in NFL history (including interim stint for John Fassel). 3 of fathers won Super Bowls (Don Shula, Mike Shanahan, Gary Kubiak) The Kubiaks are now in a race with the Shanahans to become 1st father-son head coaches who both won Super Bowls

If you’re a Broncos fan, you’re probably rooting for the Shanahans to become that first father-son duo to win a Super Bowl. Since, if the Kubiaks get it first, that will mean a Super Bowl victory for the rival Raiders.
If you’re a Millennial or older, it’s wild to see both Mike Shanahan and Gary Kubiak’s sons as head coaches. Similar to seeing Patrick Surtain II, and many other sons of NFL players, on the gridiron on Sundays.
The AFC West can’t sleep on the Raiders
Kubiak will be 39 when the 2026 NFL season kicks off, and this will be his first head coaching stint.
But if he continues to draw up creative offense, and he utilizes stars like Brock Bowers, Ashton Jeanty, and the incoming Fernando Mendoza at quarterback, the AFC West won’t be able to count the Raiders as an automatic win anymore.
For years, the Kansas City Chiefs ruled the West. And once Patrick Mahomes returns from injury, they’ll be a tough team once again.
Denver finally made inroads this year, winning the AFC West for the first time in a decade. Sean Payton has really improved the Broncos from the top-down, and they’re legitimate Super Bowl contenders ahead of schedule. The entire AFC knows they’ll have to deal with Payton and the Broncos, at least in the near-term.
In LA, Jim Harbaugh has instilled winning ways, too. The Chargers have made the playoffs the last two years, going 11-6 each season. And they upgraded at offensive coordinator, hiring Mike McDaniel, who will likely help Justin Herbert and the offense improve.
And now, if things finally go right in Las Vegas with Kubiak in charge, the AFC West will have a case for the best division in football. Only the NFC West is better currently, and they also have a sorry team in the Cardinals.
If Kubiak is successful, the Broncos and the rest of the AFC West better watch out. That is, if he’s given time to succeed. As many others have not in Las Vegas.
