Colorado Buffaloes (4-4, 1-4) Head Coach Mike MacIntyre addressed the media following practice on Wednesday, October 25th.
Coach Mac gives an update on the open quarterback competition between redshirt-sophomore Steven Montez and redshirt-freshman Sam Noyer. There will be no formal announcement until game time on Saturday, October 28th at 12pm MT when the Buffs will take on the California Golden Bears (4-4, 1-4).
MacIntyre explains his decision to not kick a field goal at the end of the first half against the (#15/#16) Washington State Cougars (7-1, 4-1). He also details what he feels that freshman kicker James Stefanou’s max yardage is and what distance he would feel comfortable kicking it from.
MacIntyre updates the progress of several players undergoing redshirt seasons. Redshirt senior’s wide receiver Kabion Ento and tailback Donovan Lee figure to be a big part of the Buffs in 2018.
MacIntyre also updates overall progress of the defensive line and rest of the team ahead of Homecoming 2017 against Cal.
